With this issue, MRO Management enters its twentieth year of publication. While the first issue in July 1999 (above) mentioned aircraft like the McDonnell Douglas MD-11, we have now reached the technological heights of the Airbus A350. Like the industry, we have seen significant changes over the years but we remain true to our intention of providing the very best coverage of all aspects of commercial aircraft maintenance. Perhaps the biggest change has been proliferation of internet-based media. While we are involved, we know that our readers choose to subscribe to the magazine, so there is still a clear desire for print.

We also know that we have an audience of busy experts, and this is one of the challenges for our editorial team. Fortunately, we have established a reputation as the leading MRO publication and one that is recognised as being part of the industry, which means we have access to senior management for interviews. Additionally, we travel to facilities at the invitation of companies, so we are out and about in hangars and workshops, seeing the work for real. This gives us a unique capability to compare and contrast working methods and to provide a means of sharing knowledge. Those sharing opportunities have been increased in recent years with the introduction of our very successful Aircraft Cabin Maintenance Conference and Cabin Repair & Refurbishment Conference.

Finally, a huge thank you to our advertisers for their continuing support (including several who have been with us since the first issue) and, of course, to you, our readers. We are looking forward to the future with confidence.
